Trip and Recreation

This committee is responsible for recreational activities after meetings or during the year.  They are also responsible for organizing travel activities for the club.

Quadrathalon

At the academic quadrathalon, students test their knowledge of the livestock and meat industry.  They compete in a four step competition--lab practical, written test, quiz bowl, and oral presentation.  The Quadrathalon Committee works with NDSU, the faculty and staff to set up the contest when SDSU hosts quad.  They also arrange transportation when it is our turn to travel to NDSU

 

                      
         


Steer Show

As a club dedicated to promoting the continuance of youth activity and participation in the agriculture industry, Block and Bridle has set up a steer and heifer show for the Sunday of President's Day weekend.  The Committee has its own fundraisers, hires a judge, recruits workers, and prize money for the show.

    






   


Ag-in-the-classroom

This committee functions to help educate South Dakota's youth about agriculture, since it is the state's largest industry.

     
 


Meat Animal Evaluation Judging Contest

Students compete in a three-part contest based on their judging skills in breeding livestock, live animal evaluation, and meats judging.
