Marjorie J. Thom Scholarship

Marjorie Thom, a native of Flandreau, completed the Junior Secretarial Program at Nettleton Commercial College in Sioux Falls.  Marjorie began her career with South Dakota State College in 1955 at Station Biochemistry.  In 1956 she transferred to Animal Science and remained there until her retirement in 1998.  Marjorie worked in many capacities providing assistance with publication of research results and judging teams, editing newsletters, and serving as liaison to the Midwestern Section, American Society of Animal Science.  Marjorie established this award in appreciation of the excellent relationships and cooperation of the faculty, staff, and undergraduate/graduate students with whom she worked.
