Merlin Van Walleghan Family Scholarship

Merlin Van Walleghen is a 1958 SDSU graduate with a BS degree in Animal Science.  His wife, Pat, is a 1959 Augustana graduate with a BA in Business Education.  Paula Van Walleghen Minnaert graduated in 1982 from SDSU with a BSN degree in Nursing.  Her husband, Tom, graduated from SDSU in 1983 with a BS in Ag Business.  They have two daughters.  Todd Van Walleghen is a 1985 SDSU graduate with a BS degree in Microbiology.  His wife, Kim, attended Modesto California Junior College.  They have one daughter and two sons.

Merlin is an active livestock and crop producer.  He has been a Township Supervisor, as well as a director on the local elevator board, Farmers Home Administration, South Dakota Association of Cooperatives, Heartland Consumer Power District and Cenex Harvest States Regional Cooperative.
