Research
The primary focus of my research program is the genetics of
susceptibility to disease. My research focuses on two areas: 1) Understanding
the genetic basis for susceptibility to infectious and metabolic diseases in
livestock, and 2) Understanding the genetic basis for why animals respond
differently to vaccination. I use both gene mapping and functional genomics
approaches to uncover answers to these problems.
