Greetings from the Department Head!

Welcome to the Animal and Range Sciences Department at South Dakota State University.  We pride ourselves on being a student focused research institution.  Our faculty and staff are committed to providing a high quality education for our graduate and undergraduate students.  As a Land Grant college, we are committed to helping the citizens in South Dakota and the surrounding area.  Our Extension staff is well connected throughout the state with producers and commodity groups.  As problems are identified, we strive to conduct appropriate research to solve problems and provide solutions.
